what is soap?

SOAP is a Bible-study method that helps you to get more out of your time studying the Bible. SOAP is an acronym for Scripture, Observation, Application, and Prayer. When you SOAP, you need a Bible, a pen, and a journal, and you are ready to start this new method of reading the Bible.

getting started

Choose a chapter of the Bible that you want to read, then read it. Then, write out one verse or passage that stood out to you. Next, write down an observation of what you think God is trying to say to you. Then, write down an application of how you can apply what you just read in your life. Last, write out a prayer to God, it doesn’t have to be complex, but something you want to communicate to God. Follow the guide below for help.
